Program Update - August 8, 2011
Expanded Guidelines for Energy Audits
CHF has revised contractor guidelines concerning the required Initial Energy Audit and Final Energy Audits. All Participating Contractors should review the guideline changes as published in the Contractor's Procedures Manual, Section 3.
Change to Guidelines for Reporting of Home Performance Data
CHF has changed the procedure concerning the recording of home performance data on all properties retrofitted under the CHF Residential Energy Retrofit Program.
Upon completion of all retrofit work and after the Final Energy Audit is performed on the home, CHF will supply the homeowner with Home Performance Labels to place inside the electrical service panel box and near any energy equipment and/or appliance funded through the Program. Note: This is a change to the procedures previously published in Energy Bulletin 11-0722.
The Home Performance Label will list the associated HERS Rating and Index Score # for the home and the online location of the associated HERS II Report. This information is intended to supply the current homeowner as well as any future homeowners of the property with information about the energy efficiency improvements made on the property under the Program.
Expanded Guidelines Concerning SHPO Approval
Approval must be requested from the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for all properties over 45 years of age or older in the case of:
- Window and/or door replacement
- Cool roof installation
- Solar installation
The required documentation to be furnished to CHF in cases where SHPO approval is necessary, is listed on Appendix A of the revised SHPO Contractor Consultation Form.
